EMILY'S STORY

This project was developed to showcase Emily’s path to sobriety and the challenges she encountered in overcoming addiction, presented through a podcast detailing her story. Emily’s narrative revolves around her battles with bacterial endocarditis and subsequent heart surgery, all stemming from her struggles with addiction. Despite these hurdles, she beat the odds and underwent a profound transformation in her life. In visually representing her journey, I utilized imagery and shapes, juxtaposing sharp angles with the softness of her face to symbolize the ongoing struggle between the individual and addiction.
